Samuel B. Theler was a long-time resident of Belfair. Mary E. Theler was killed in a tragic automobile accident.
The Theler's had no children of their own but had a great interest in the youth of the community. When Sam died, his
will established the Theler Trust. The purpose of the Trust was to create a gymnasium or recreation center to be named
in honor and memory of his beloved wife, Mary.
